Calling all volunteers! We are looking for responsible high school students to volunteer to prepare for and help out at the Junior Chef event scheduled for Saturday, July 8th.

2 great ways to get involved and help with this inclusive community event:
– Friday, July 7th from 10 am – 4 pm: Volunteers needed at the offices of The Johnson Center for Child Health Development (1700 Rio Grande) to prepare signs, crafts, and activities for the event.
– Saturday, July 8th from 12 pm – 3:30 pm: Volunteers needed at The Austin Recreation Center (1301 Shoal Creek Blvd) to help children complete crafts, activities and lessons all focused on nutrition, cooking, and more (including building and eating a 20′ ice cream sundae).

This is a great opportunity for anyone who likes to work with children and who wants to earn volunteer hours over the summer! All volunteers can receive documented service hours. Check out the event by clicking here.

Keep an eye out for our next events: Junior Heroes (July 29th), and the Back to School Bash (September 9th).
