McCallum Fine Arts Academy & MacTheatre present
ALL THE WAY HOME
November 11 – 14 | Fine Arts Building Theatre
All the Way Home, the play by Tad Mosel that has been little heard from since it won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1961, will be revived this fall at McCallum Fine Arts Academy. The play is based on James Agee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “A Death in the Family,” about a Tennessee woman suddenly confronted with the death of someone close to her and the loss’ aftermath.
The story is a simple one. All The Way Home is a portrait of a Tennessee family during four days in May, 1915: the warm and tender love that binds them and the tragic death of the husband which shatters the hearts of his wife and young son.
“A quiet compassion that one will remember long after some of the theatre’s flashier sensations.” – The New York Times
