What is the Summer Immersion Program (SIP)?

Our 2021 Summer Immersion Program (SIP) is a FREE 2-week virtual program for 9-11th grade girls and non-binary students to build a coding portfolio, meet industry employees, and build community with other peers. At Girls Who Code, we are committed to ensuring equity and diversity across all of our programs, which is why over 50% of the students we serve are from historically underrepresented groups.

Last summer we had the pleasure of hosting 7 of your students but have seen very few applicants from your district so far and the final deadline to apply is coming up on March 19th, which is why I am reaching out.

Apply to Girls Who Code’s free 2-week Virtual Summer Immersion Program  for an unforgettable experience! Current 9th -11th grade girls and non-binary students are eligible to apply.

The final deadline is approaching on March 19th. We strongly encourage students from underrepresented groups in tech to apply early, including Black, Latinx, and students from low-income backgrounds.

Why should you join Girls Who Code this summer?

  • Join a sisterhood of supportive peers and make lifelong friendships!
  • Learn how to use HTML, CSS, and Javascript coding skills to make an impact on what matters to you. Not a coder yet? No problem!
  • Meet women in tech from top corporations like Disney, AT&T, Walmart & more.
  • You can join for free! Plus, Girls Who Code will provide need-based tech support for those who qualify.
