Dear McCallum Families,

Happy Friday! I wanted to provide an update to schedules and send a recording of the recent Town Hall Meeting. We are very excited to see our students!

Schedules
All schedules will be finalized this weekend and will be viewable on the parent portal through SIS Self-Serve on Monday. Here are some instructions for finding and viewing schedules.

Schedule Errors
There are two types of scheduling errors. Here is what a student should do if they have a scheduling error.

  1. Missing Class – Is there a hole in the schedule? During the class that is missing, students will report to the cafeteria where counselors will be able to help.
  2. Wrong Class – If a student is scheduled into the wrong class, they will be able to fill out a Schedule Change Request using a QR Code we will have posted in the hallway.  Counselors will work on fixing mistakes as soon as possible. Students with a wrong class should follow the posted schedule until their schedule has been resolved.
NOTE: We are not able to address “change of mind” schedule change requests at this time.

First Day of School – Tuesday, August 17

BELL SCHEDULE:  We will follow the regular B Day bell schedule on Tuesday, starting with 5th period.  Please take a screen shot of or write out your schedule.  We will also have rosters posted with every student and their 5th room number and teacher.

WHAT TO BRING: All students should come with a full water bottle, a backpack with charged Chromebook (click here if you don’t yet have a Chromebook), a writing utensil and notebook. All other supply lists will be provided by each teacher.

Our Mac staff will be ready and willing to help anyone who needs it on the first day.  We know we will have lots of students who will need it.  We are excited and ready!

This Week’s Community Town Hall
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend!  We have a good turn out with lots of good questions. Here is a recording of the event if you were not able to be there.

Masks
Reminder that we will all be wearing masks at school.  It’s important to find a mask that works and is comfortable.  We will have masks available for students if they forget.

I’m looking forward to a great year at McCallum High School!  Thank you for sharing your students with us 🙂

Go Knights!
