Per the Governor’s order, starting Saturday, June 5, masks and temperature checks will no longer be required to enter Austin ISD schools and facilities.

If you have not been vaccinated, we strongly encourage you to wear a mask for your own protection as the CDC continues to recommend. Also, we will no longer require temperature checks. Students and visitors are still required to complete the COVID-19 screener in the mobile app. Everyone is encouraged to screen before leaving home and to stay home if they have any COVID-19-related symptoms.

With Austin and Travis County entering Stage 2 for the first time during the pandemic and vaccinations now available for all adults and children ages 12 and up, we look forward to safely going back to in-class instruction this August.

We understand that the past year has been stressful and traumatic. It can be difficult to adjust and trust that things are safer. Whether the person next to you is wearing a mask or not, please treat each other with kindness and respect, and trust everyone is making the right decision for their health and our safety.
