All incoming McCallum 9th graders are enrolled under AISD’s Multidisciplinary graduation plan and must declare an Endorsement. The Distinguished Level of Achievement (26 credits) is a higher performance category that requires three years of a language other than English as well as other requirements.
Endorsements consist of a related series of courses grouped together by interest or skill set that provide students with in-depth knowledge of a subject area.
McCallum offers five endorsement areas: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); Business and Industry; Public Service; Arts and Humanities; or Multidisciplinary Studies.
A list of the endorsements, as well as the suggested FIRST class in the endorsement are available here.
Department faculty have also provided detailed information on their individual endorsements as well as course descriptions for their endorsements.
AISD provides a list of endorsements and explains more about each here.
Using the Choice Sheet, students are able to select the classes they wish to take the following year.
