Fine Arts Academy
The purpose of our Association
A. To accept and disburse funds and otherwise assist the orchestra in ways not to interfere with constituted authority.
B. To promote and stimulate musical education benefiting McCallum High School.
C. To maintain the support of the music program in accordance with the philosophy of the school administration.
D. To promote fellowship among the membership.
We execute this purpose by serving the Orchestra’s Directors in support of student concerts, AISD Solo & Ensemble music competition, and fundraising. The latter consists of two large events including the wildly popular Mueller Movie Music in the Park and a Spring Fundraiser. Smaller fundraisers are scheduled throughout the year. The monies from fundraising support the needs of the orchestra and help to fund a yearly trip where students experience performing in prestigious venues.
Booster club meetings are scheduled monthly and held in the Orchestra room. Communication on time and day is sent to those registered in CHARMS. Also be sure to join our Yahoo Email Group.
