Natalie Uehara is joining the dance department at McCallum after eight years as the director of the dance department at at the internationally-recognized Castle Performing Arts Center located in beautiful Kaneohe, Hawaii! She was the resident choreographer there, producing four or more musical productions each year. Natalie was on the faculty of the Diamond Head Theater and the Punahou Dance School. She also participated in Oahu’s vibrant community theater scene as both a performer and a choreographer. In 2010, she won a Hawaii State Theatre Council award for choreography for her work on the Hawaii premiere of the musical Zombie Prom.
Natalie grew up in Florida. After earning a BFA in dance from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC, Natalie spent the following few years dancing professionally at theme parks and on international cruise lines, where she happened to meet McCallum’s own Mr. Denning. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work with Mr. Denning again at McCallum.
