The Career and Technical Education (CTE) department is looking for parents who work in the numerous industries to help us form Industry Leadership Councils (ICL) for McCallum’s 6 CTE programs. ILCs include industry reps, parents, students, teachers, and administrators who work to advise high school CTE teachers on trends in industry, help us form connections to industry for internship and guest speakers, and help us evaluate our programs to make CTE pathways as relevant for students as possible.

We hope to have an organizational meeting on Thursday, May 16th, from 6 – 8pm. The ILCs will meet again in the early fall. Parent commitment would only be for two or three meetings per year with days and times to be determined by the committees.
