Did you sign up to take ACC dual credit on your choice sheet or do you want to take an ACC class this summer? It is time to register for Austin Community College dual credit courses!
YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BY MARCH 28 with Mrs. Nix (this is an ACC deadline that is non-negotiable).
ACC class registration for RETURNING students is April 4, and for NEW students is April 18.
In the fall, we hope to host the following classes:
- English 1301 and 1302
- English 2322 (must meet the prerequisites to take this course)
- Government 2305
- US History 1302
- Psychology 2301
- Sociology 1301
If you have NOT taken an ACC course before, you need to take the TSI exam. Check with Mrs. Nix to see if your PSAT or SAT scores exempt you. If not, you need to schedule a session with Mrs. Nix to take it. You can take it any time throughout the school day with Mrs. Nix or you can sign up for a testing session HERE. Testing is held at McCallum with Mrs. Nix. Once you have passed the TSI test, follow the steps 1-5 on the Mac counseling page. Remember, March 28 is the completion date.
If you have taken an ACC course before, sign up on the Google form HERE to be added to the ACC registration page to lift your hold so that you can formally register with ACC. You must complete this step by March 28.
REMEMBER: Putting ACC courses on your McCallum choice sheet does NOT automatically register you for ACC. You must complete the registration process with Mrs. Nix. Otherwise, you may not take ACC courses and will be placed in McCallum High School courses.
